Fiesta Fiesta gets gold from festivals organization

Fiesta Fiesta at the Alamo received a Gold Pinnacle award yesterday for its promotion plan and a Bronze for the event itself from the International Festivals and Events Association.

Those were two of nine honors the Fiesta San Antonio Commission took at the IFEA's Pinnacle Awards luncheon in Indianapolis. Executive Director Chuck Blische accepted Silver certificates for:
  • The cover of the Fiesta Program Magazine, designed by Ad Ideas.
  • A photograph of the Texas Cavaliers River Parade taken by Jon Alonzo, the chief Fiesta photographer.
  • The Fiesta 2010 Media Kit produced by Fiesta Creative Coordinator Linda Skop.
  • A tote bag with "Fiesta" spelled out in rhinestones.
  • A pocket polo shirt.
Blische received additional Bronze certificates for:
  • The Fiesta Commission website, fiesta-sa.org.
  • The 2010 poster by Billy Mitchell.
The Fiesta Commission competes with organizations like the Indianapolis 500 and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses.

IFEA has more than 7,000 members, including more than 500 special events around the world. The organization has provided professional development and other services to the special events industry for 50 years.
